Our Story
Alkimia Coffee House & Roaster started with a simple question: what if we roasted coffee the way we'd want it roasted — slowly, carefully, and with genuine attention?
That question led us here, to 3148 148th Place Road, where we green-bulk and roast in small quantities so every batch comes out consistent, clean, and full of character. We source directly from growers who treat their land and their workers with respect, and we roast here so you can taste the difference freshness makes.
The name Alkimia comes from the old idea of transformation — turning something raw into something refined. That's what roasting is, and it's what we strive for in every bag we pack.
The Process
We let the bean lead. Every origin has its own rhythm — we just listen closely and follow it through to the finish.
We work with importers and growers who share our standards for quality and sustainability. Every green lot is cupped before we buy it.
Small batches, slow development, and careful attention to color and aroma. We roast on a 5 kg drum roaster so nothing gets lost in the crowd.
Every batch is cupped against a reference. If it's not where we want it, we adjust the curve and try again. Consistency matters to us.
We pack within 24 hours of roasting and ship or serve fresh. You'll always see the roast date on the bag — that's a promise we keep.
